Murry has talent, no doubt. However, if the Cardinals hierarchy actually held that he has to be contractually obligated in order for him to study his opponents for upcoming games (though the clause was later rescinded,) what further evidence do you require to show that Murry may not be the one to lead the Cardinals to the Promised Land?

Eeeesh. For $45 million a year, if the Cardinals wanted to compel him to get on all fours and bark like a dog for four hours a week …

Getting paid to study? Sounds neat.

The worlds highest paid study hall monitor? Not likely. NFL money goes to athletes, coaches, and top management, not to staff.

Bobby Bonilla’s record-setting deferred payment contract purchased at auction for $180,000.00

Next year, the buyer will get to spend an entire day with Bonilla as a reward.

Anybody out there who’d prefer Ron Darling or David Wright?

Without D/Hops for half a season, Kyler better have his legs in shape.

The funny/sad part is – it got through the contract review by the agent and the player just fine. They accepted that clause – if they didn’t, we would have heard about it “anonymously” (and probably blamed on a ‘team source’ to cover the “reporter”).

Funny…the Cardinals have enough faith in Kyler Murray to give him such an enormous contract, yet they think so little of his preparation habits that they added a clause mandating him to spend a certain amount of time studying film. There’s no point in trying to understand this stuff anymore, so I just watch the games. Once they hit the field, it’s still football!

I imagine Brady spends 8-12 hours a week studying “film” without it being in his contract. But then his work ethic is beyond reproach as is his success on the field.

It’s too bad he is so sensitive that he thinks requiring him to do his job is insulting. I’ll study twice as long for half the money. Please insult me!

It also said he was not allowed to play video games during the study time. REALLY!

Similar to Tim Tebow, a former pro QB Joe Theismann has called him out, if a guy wants to be a pro QB they have to put in the time to learn and do the job, throwing the ball and reading Defenses.
