Repugs will take over congress in 2023 and Ted will be so happy as they will obstruct anything Biden wants to do and Ted can dis Biden more for not passing anything. Ukraine falls, America falls, Repug fascists win!!
The Dems may be “bad”, but bad within normal parameters. (to paraphrase PJ O’Roarke). Just about any Dem is better than joining the death cult of the GQP.
How about the following with regard to POTUS and VPOTUS:
1) National funding of campaigns, with NO money allowed from private sources. That means all organizations (businesses, NGOs, etc) and individuals who seek to use their immense wealth to influence/deceive voters into supporting one candidate or another.
2) Allocate $10 million to each qualified candidate. This might force the bastards to get out and talk with people, rather than rely on slick political advertising, especially negative ads. Any candidate who runs out of his allocated campaign budget is SOL.
3) No free advertising on any social medium platform for one candidate that is not also made available to other candidates.
4) Allow ALL qualified candidates to participate in televised debates. This will allow viewers to see and hear candidates other than the usual Democrat/Republican hacks who dominate campaigns and debates.
5) Require all voting to be done with paper ballots, with ballots to be counted by hand and certified by multiple observers.
6) Limit voting and counting of votes to two days.
Considering they rallied around “anybody but Bush”… I mean “anybody but trump” I’d say their plan worked, in that trump managed to be thwarted in his attempt to seize power for himself despite their least efforts to stop him.
But when your life goals are “orange man bad” of course you’re willing to justify any political losses as just evidence that more people need to rally behind your platform of “we’re not THEM”
Will Rogers said, “I don’t belong to any organized political party, I’m a Democrat”. But the Dems, to me, are doing pretty well considering their razor thin majority in both houses of Congress. Hopefully (since they’ve managed to pass the Infrastructure Bill) the Democrats can spend the spring and summer cutting ribbons and talking up infrastructure reform and change the narrative on them. They might still lose the majority in the House and Senate come November, but I’d rather see them swing for the fences than see them roll over and play dead. As for Trump, there are things to consider. In 2024, Trump will be 78 years old (the same age Biden was when he was sworn in). Also, if Trump is reelected in 2024, he can’t run for a third term because of the 22nd Amendment (ratified in 1947). For those reasons, the GOP will likely get behind a younger candidate like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis instead. Besides, he might well get indicted by the courts of either New York State or Georgia between now and 2024. But we’ll see.

“The Democrats” are not a thing. Sometimes I wish it were a little more like real, but usually I’m okay with the Democrats being a DISorganized party.

Shouldn’t that be a Russian flag on his lapel? Maybe Ted can lend him one of his.

History will be written by others, but if Trump runs again, this may be a pretty good political strategy.
All joking aside though, there are three reasons for voting for Democrats.
1. Keep D. Trump away from power.
2. The rest of the Republicans are just looking for a chance to increase their own “share of the pie”.
3. Given a chance, the Democrats just might do something right. (And if they don’t, see 1 and 2 above.)

(Take-off, “Suicide Is Painless,” Mandel / Altman)
Suggested theme song for this comic:
”Nihilism’s Painless”
Through all my allergies I see
Visions of just what might be:
Trumpism’s dire destiny
I grimly do foresee —
.
For Nihilism’s Painless
It suits me and is brain strainless
And I can draw it anyway I please.
.
I draw the sad warped world I see.
The philosophy of F. Nietzsche
Shapes political threats yet to be
That perversely amuse me —
.
For Nihilism’s Painless
It giggles at Mankind’s Regress
And I will laugh from under the debris.

Yep, if the libs didn’t have Trump as a diversion, they would be forced to see the real failure – “Dementia Joe” Biden/Harris.

Thank you Mr. Rall for pointing out the DNC’s plan of attack.

If the Democrats keep on this path. The nightmare of Trump returning will be their reality.

I woke up this morning and, still in bed, read the news on my phone. There was this headline:
Tucker admits that his support of Russia was wrong, blames Biden and Harris".
https://www.businessinsider.com/tucker-carlson-admits-wrong-russia-blames-kamala-harris-2022-3?op=1
I laughed so hard Sadie thought I was having a heart attack.

You really should look into getting mental therapy, Mr. Rall. Your delusions are getting positively ludicrous and toxic.
