Poor Ted is just beside himself that we in the U.S. do not love Putin like he does. Either protest all injustice or don’t protest any of it. (Insert huge eye roll here.)

Excellent, Mr.Rall! The blatant hypocrisy, racism in U.S. policy producing brainwashed Americans is pathetic.

There’s no U.S./Israeli war against Palestine. And, look at all the terrorist activities of Hamas, the leaders of Palestine.

Well, it does make sense sadly, as demonstrated by many comments here, especially from supposedly lleft leaning or liberals: protesting against US actions would be treason. Protests happen only when they are against an enemy of the USA – thus these are not protests but support walks for the USA. Anyone pointing at the hypocrisy must be a traitor and lover of the enemy. It’s really funny when democrats speak exactly like McCarthy!

What is the criteria for a “major” protest, so that it is deemed to actually matter?

Come on, Ted. I was reading you when I went to my first protests against the invasion of Afghanistan. They certainly didn’t draw the crowds the Iraq invasion drew, but I guess that’s why you choose to label them “major”….

It’s amazing how Rall will twist himself into knots to deflect for his Russian benefactors. I guess because there were no protests (or at least protests that Rall would consider “major”) against the US Invasion of Afghanistan following 9/11, that we should give a free pass to Russia’s war of aggression against its neighbor.

Yes, America got whipped up (by the Republican administration) into supporting not one, but two misguided (and inaccurate) wars. And yes, we still support a brutal, homicidal regime in Saudi Arabia. But the sins of the past should not prevent us from also doing what is right once in awhile.

I agree with Mr. Rall that American’s (and mainstream media’s) sudden interest in the war against Ukraine is in stark contrast to other conflict in which the U.S. has played some part. However I can recall a number of fairly large protests against the Israeli occupation of Palestine in some West Coast cities over the years and of course Mr. Rall does conveniently skip over the huge world wide protests against the U.S. invasion of Iraq as well as its involvement in several Central American countries during the 1980s. So the difference is not quite as black snd white as the strip implies.

The Taliban allowed Al Qaeda to operate out of Afghanistan before 9/11 and you think invading Afghanistan was illegal?

For God’s sake, Ted, at least get your facts straight. There’s a list of major protests against the war in Afghanistan in Wikipedia. I’m not even going to bother to check the rest. For example:

    - September 29, 2001, as many as 20,000 people demonstrated in Washington DC.

    - 10,000 came out to march in San Francisco

    - 10,000-12,000 people in New York in October 7th.

I do love it when commentators employed by Russian government owned media complain about the hypocrisy of others.
