So all women who don’t want to get an abortion and commit suicide at the same time are S.O.L.

Use of the word “liberal” here is certainly meant to be ironic. To call someone or some thing liberal is now commonly meant as a political insult. The lack of good in a Law should make it lawless. Maybe gun laws and regulations that do the opposite of good, that are easily destructive to public safety, corrupt in concept, and pander to a strident narrowly self-interested minority of people, should be called “misbegotten” — which is itself ironic when speaking of abortion.

Yes, these are the states with the highest chance for a toddler to pick a gun and shoot himself, his siblings or his parents (when it is the parents that get shot, it’s called an ironic late attempt at erasing from the gene pool people who shouldn’t have procreated in the first place.)

It seems that a letter to all DOJ staff from Garland, sent out some 7 weeks ago, fell into the hands of MSNBC a week ago.

In it, Garland instructs everyone that, it being election season, everyone must strictly avoid giving the impression, or appearing to do, that the DOJ favors one candidate/side over another.

The interesting part is a cross-reference at the bottom to a letter sent to the same all-DOJ-staff list by Barr, when he was Trump’s AG. Garland’s letter says Barr’s still applies. Barr’s says that during election season nothing can be done by way of investigation or even pre-investigation of a declared candidate or their staff without the AG’s (Barr’s then, Garland’s now) personal, written signoff.

Speculation is apparently rife at DOJ that Trump will very soon declare his candidacy for president, thus gaining himself and his henchcreatures 2 years respite from DOJ activity.

Yet Garland is continuing to do his job?

Wow, a lot of hate and distain for the red states from our usual commenters. What I haven’t figured out is why so many people from the blue states, i.e. California, Illinois and New York, are fleeing their wonderful blue state and moving to Texas and Florida. If you hate Texas and Florida, why move there?

Get one with the smallest calibre possible. This one would be great, but it’s no longer being produced. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2mm_Kolibri

Cleaning guns is a pain but not “tricky” Ted. You just clear the weapon first.

That’s pretty horrific. I’m struggling to see the message here. Are you suggesting darkly that this as an option for abortion in states with poor gun control? It’s (pardon the expression) not viable — in addition to it being a near death sentence for the mother (gunshot wounds to the abdomen have a high fatality rate even without the massive risks of perforation of a pregnant uterus, which is very prone to hemorrhage), it’s likely that the practitioner will be convicted of negligent homicide at minimum even if the mother does survive. Most of these states have laws allowing murder charges if a fetus is killed accidentally or in commission of another crime.

If abortion is murder then i guess the next step is charging women that seek them (or happened to have a miscarriage) with murder and sentencing them to death. All in the name of the free expression of religion and brought to you by the Supreme Court. Gilead here we come.

This is the danger of waiting for the “perfect” candidate. While I am tired of voting for the “lesser evil”, in 2016 HRC won the popular vote and the outdated EC put in Trump. And Bernie Sanders voters helped Trump despite Sanders’ pleas to vote for HRC.

If you were held hostage for weeks on end, the “stand your ground” laws in the red states would allow you to kill the hostage taker. I want to see the first abortion case where the mom or doc pleads “it was killing me. I was standing my ground.”
