Some people think that if the feds say it, it’s BOUND to be a lie. Some of us are… a little… less paranoid.

New types of weapons are difficult to determine and to trace their origins, the most plausible being a radio frequency weapon, a functional disorder, or a psychogenic origin. That is in the news. Russia is a very likely suspect.

Rall has left the tracks, once more-deluded by his irrational dislike for Biden. Is it possible that he Prefers the Orange Loony? (No, my dislike of Tramp is entirely rational).

Havana syndrome is a disputed medical condition reported primarily by U.S. diplomatic, intelligence, and military officials stationed in overseas locations. Reported symptoms range in severity from pain and ringing in the ears to cognitive dysfunction and were first reported by U.S. and Canadian embassy staff in Havana, Cuba, though earlier incidents may have occurred in Frankfurt, Germany. Starting in 2016 through to 2021, several hundred U.S. intelligence and military officials and their families reported having symptoms in overseas locations including China, India, Europe, Hanoi, as well as in Washington, D.C., USA. Hmmm! Biden was president in 2016 to 2020? I guess he is responsible for Covid too. We know that he is responsible for every bad thing that ever happened.

To be beside the point, vacationed in Cuba with inlaw family back in 2016 – it was beautiful – once you get used to Havana looking like Berlin in the early days of bombing. Unfortunately now they’re really really starving there.

Habana Club Añejo is no mystery. It’s rum and it’ll give you a hangover if you indulge in it too much.

Wait a minute. Who says Havana Syndrome is not caused by the Russians. The hypersonic wave was supposed to be used on the US offices in Havana, Cuba. And now it’s being reported in other US offices about the world, too.

Not really relevant to the cartoon, but a little googling leads straight down the rabbit hole. First (after they gave up on sonic weaponry) was the hypothesis that it was microwaves, specifically pulsed microwaves (look up Havana syndrome and Professor Lin). That leads to the Duga radar system aka the Russian Woodpecker. And from there to the “Moscow signal”, which was microwaves beamed into the top floors of the American Embassy, a signal that continued for almost a quarter century, not acknowledged until a new US Ambassador blew his stack about the US government keeping it a secret.

I suspect that the explanation for the mind games around the misnamed “Havana” syndrome lies in this quote: “Mr Zaid questions why the US government has been so unwilling to acknowledge a longer history. One possibility, he says, is because it might open a Pandora’s Box of incidents that have been ignored over the years. Another is because the US,  too, has developed and perhaps even deployed microwaves itself and wants to keep it secret.

We all have our regrets. One of mine was that I did not pardon a legend when I was in office. One who did so much to expose the racial divide in this country in 1995.

    Farewell, O.J. Simpson.

Is that supposed to be Biden, Ted?

As far as I know, President Biden has not personally been involved in any of those judgements / “conclusions”. No more so than the GoComics personnel are responsible for any of your artwork or politics.
