Well if you have nothing good to say, sometimes it’s better to keep your mouth shut. There’s no point in digging the hole you’re in any deeper than it already is. Sometimes “silence is golden.”

The last time we had an argument, she came to me on her hands and knees/ “oh, yeah, what did she say?”/ She said “come out from under that bed you sniveling coward!”
