At first, I thought it said “mama’s water broke”.

It’s probably a good thing that Brutus was momentarily struck mute. Today’s comic does make me appreciate that all I have extra today is a pug for a week. So far just two “notes” on the carpet, left when I put her back inside this morning before my dog and I left for the longer part of our walk. No way this little girl could breathe well enough to go that far.

A rather popular restaurant in my area pulled what I and others considered to be a rather unfunny April Fool joke on their Facebook page today. They posted that, after decades of operation, they planned to close at the end of April due to increased operating costs. There were several figurative head explosions—mine among them—in the comments before the person who makes the posts for the restaurant admitted the post saying they were closing was an April Fool joke.
