In point of fact, many slave owners paid their slaves to have their teeth pulled and implanted in the their owners’ mouths. Washington did that. Sometimes the implants worked. Sometimes they didn’t.

OKAY, contrary to popular belief, Washington did not have wooden teeth, he had hippopotamus teeth ground down to fit his mouth !

Washington’s teeth were made of animal and human teeth. They were also spring loaded, so they would push his jaw open unless he clamped down. Which is why he always looked like he was angry (look at his face on the $1 U.S. bill). You can see his teeth, and other memorabilia (including the lancet that killed him), in the George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Virginia.

Sigh. George Washington didn’t have wooden teeth. Nothing quite like humor based off of ignorance.

It’s at least 800 grit so he doesn’t get slivers in all the wrong places. And we all can guess that she loves her man when he has wood.

From Mount Vernon – The only complete set of Washington’s dentures that still survives is preserved by George Washington’s Mount Vernon and is made of animal and human teeth, lead, and ivory.

Hillburn, you ignorant fool! Next time check with some of these learned scholars before you go making jokes that are not historically correct. Think of all the people you have mis-led. Wait a minute, maybe you have a bright future in politics.
