    Since their inception around 1970, the penalty for not paying the total of what you spent by the due date, has been paying an exorbitant amount of interest. The interest rate has always been explained upfront yet many people don’t mind paying thousands of dollars extra to get the things they “have to have” before they have the money to buy them.
