    And if you see a funnel start forming, that means get to a basement if you have one. If you don’t have one, get to a closet or bathroom where there are little or no windows.

    40-50 MPH winds with copious amount of rain. Regular monsoon out there this am. My normal 20 minute drive to work took about 35 today.

    Raining here as well. Better than snow, although I suspect it’s snowing at higher altitudes. Too dark to see the traffic cams though.

    Often, looking the out the window is the most accurate, at least for truly local conditions. But, I like to check on the Doppler radar to tell the movement and location of precipitation.

    Plus gives you the conditions there, not where weather app is reporting it from.
