This is exactly typical of a certain lake in the Fraser Valley- hundreds of Canada geese, several eagle nests around the perimeter.

And yet, if they’re hungry, all they need to do is reach out and snatch one.

I’m with you on that! Huge squadrons of geese fly over our house all the time and they’re happy to practice low-level bombing on our siding and our car. YUCK!

We get a fair number of migrating birds, ducks, geese and the like. However, the ones which tend to cause problems are the Sandhill Cranes. All of them should start arriving in the next week or so.

There is a flyway between Baffin Island and northern Quebec. 90 miles of open water. In the fall the land is covered with migrating Canada’s & Snow. The picture is from elsewhere but you get the idea.

Not a good time to take your plane up

Not so much a fly way as a drive thru.. geese make fine eating for an eagle

It’s close to the lake and if we run out of fish, I can take down a bird for dinner….
