And the guy running that state could be your next president. So it’s a choice between him, whichever ineffective dullard the democrats put out, or trump again, who recently stated his plan to essentially eliminate the trans community once and for all. All this while a wave of police brutality and corruption has run rampant the past 2 weeks.
Governor DeSantis is trying to push through a rule that would allow the Governor to take tenure away from any professor at a public college who disagrees with his phantom menaces.
I honestly, as an American expat, am ashamed to admit that I still – for legal and voting purposes – maintain a Florida mailing address, after escaping from there over 10 years ago. I thought Rick Scott was an embarrassment as governor and the Florida Legislature was a colossal joke but Ron De Satin and his diabolical henchmen are absolutely scary!
Ruben, it’s actually not the Florida state government’s conservative standards at play; it’s the conservative standards of the people of Florida, who re-elected Governor DeSantis by a record 20% margin. Looks like they think he’s doing something right, doesn’t it! A lot more than ‘something’, I warrant!
Death Sentence is pandering to Traitor Trump’s base: racist grade school dropouts. That might or might not let him win the Republican nomination, but I doubt he could win a nationwide general election doing that. By the way, how many court challenges to his idiotic proposals are there already, with how many more to follow?
There is a bill in my state that with criminalize librarians like me if we don’t remove the books the fascist Republicans have deemed unacceptable from the library. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t afraid, but I’m still not going to back down.
Wanted to make America great again seems to be code for wanting to re-create the past. The present represents change from the past and that can be intimidating. But change will always happen. No one politician, or government can stop change.History is right with examples of civilizations that stagnated like the stagnation Governor DeSantis is attempting to impose on the state of Florida.
The only thing unrealistic about this is that it’s also too expensive to print different versions for different States, so the new un-woke versions will be the versions sold throughout the country.

The correct spelling of the state needs to be changed to Flori-duh.

C’mon, proper parody needs an element of plausibility. Surely this can’t be true.

De Santis isn’t the only fascist in Florida. The voters that put him in office are fascist as well.
Of course, it could be that all of that heat in Florida is driving them all crazy.

Pretty sure “Little Black Sambo” will be deemed acceptable, though.

I was wondering what books have been banned. I take it these books names are satire of books that do exist and have been banned.

It’s like DeSatan and the rest read all of Carl Hiaasen’s books and said, “hey, that looks like a great plan!”
