Scott – all the rules that Karzai broke to “win” the first time were not rectified for the runoff. Why would Abulldah Abdullah bother to go again?
Not surprised at all that you would think that fair.
ALL donkeys are asses
yawn…. oh did I miss something? Guess not. Just Meganut attempting, and failing, to rub two synapses together.
Maybe the United States will get a embassy and a few bases to keep an eye on things.
^ Yessss, a few bases. :-|
To keep an eye on its heroin production for its users back home?
So, I take it you consider Afghanistan a vassal state of the United States? Say! Why not suggest to its people it should become the US’s 51st state! Puerto Rico doesn’t wanna, so there must be a vacant spot.
Barrack Obama is being peaceful with the Afghanistan government, and perhaps wants Afghanistan up to date with modernization and that can eliminate some of the violence taking place over in Afghanistan. My comment is a peaceful resolution.
From reading your comment, your saying that one actually has to be an American to understand American issues for intelligent discussion. Stop trying to invent problems, Im not interested in them.
You said: ”From reading your comment, your saying that one actually has to be an American to understand American issues for intelligent discussion.”
Afghanistan isn’t an “American” issue. Why do you say it is an American issue, when another country is involved? Do you comprehend what you are saying?
The above cartoon is by a Dane in the “ViewsAsia” section, which includes Karzai on a donkey leading another donkey with a ballot box with UN written on it. Where is the US in this cartoon?
Again I ask, do you comprehend what you are saying?
All 28 NATO countries are involved in Afghanistan.
13 other NATO partner countries with troops in the field as well.
Total of 41 countries in total, NATO and non-NATO, but all under NATO command.
”…boots on the ground. There are 35,000 non-US troops in the mission. That’s 40% of the total. And that number is going up. Over the last 18 months, about 9,000 extra troops have been provided to the mission from the non-US members. Sixteen countries have increased their contributions over that period. None has cut back. I’m not sure all of this gets as much visibility in the US as it deserves.”
All of the above taken from a speech by NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen at the Atlantic Council of the United States - 28/09/2009.
Your comments suggested keeping bases in another nation, to ”keep an eye on things”. What, now you’re saying the USA is an empire but it’s ok, just a friendly one?
Hey Pep from Denmark, I think its hilarious that you have Karzai riding those donkeys :)).
