Once US astronauts landed on the Moon, after a few more trips Congress lost interest, since beating the Russians was the whole point. China, India, Japan and Qatar (?) have and are getting ready to plant their flags on a few planets, and may start making claims. In the good ol’ USA, the driving force is all about PROFITS, period. Get it, as much as you can, while the getting (and the de-regulation) is good! Goldman Sachs, the Pentagon, and CPAC is where the money is today! (Oh, and a lot of off-shore havens as well!)
