If businesses paid even fifteen percent tax, we’d have plenty of money, but they all whine about being put upon to their bought politicians and get loopholes written into the code. General Electric paid no taxes at all last year, and back for about three years before that. But boy they paid their stockholders. We actually subsidize oil companies, even the ones who dump oil into natural areas, parks, public lands and the oceans. But oil companies make tons of money for their stockholders and pay their executives enough to buy small countries.
If you’re not pulling in at least $5 million a year, then:1) you’re not middle class2) you’re delusional to support tax cuts especially for corporations
