There are two reasons for the repeating pattern of drop offs followed by rapid increases. They are BOTH addressable by simply acting smart:
1: Politicians and anti-careful people over-react to drops in infection rates. If you simply underreact to such changes, your odds of staying healthy get pretty good.
2: There is a measurable chance that any given person who contracts the virus will release a mutated variant back into our society. The more people who get infected, the more likely it is that such a variant will arise (and with luck… good for the virus, bad for us) will be more infective than prior. For us to address this, we simply have to see to it that almost everyone gets vaccinated ASAP. That we are unable to do this speaks volumes about how our societies are (dis)organized.

The “ups” of the ongoing Pandemic could become far worse. The “downs”, shorter and shallower.

Except the coaster’s on that long upwards ramp, no downwards movement until people take the sensible measures of wearing masks and getting vaccinated.

Went to Target to get the masks Mama Panda likes and they were out. Girl said they hadn’t gotten any new stock for a while. Another shortage?
Could I just stick a sock in my mouth and breath thru that?
