Haiti is just a recent victim getting much light- it’s still going on elsewhere, but countries are clamping down.

The Christians that were arrested for trying to take the children to the Dominican Republic had parental permission to take the children. They wanted their children to have a better life than they could in Haiti; poverty, crime and not much of a future. Isn’t that what ALL parents want for their children, a future that is safe with food and shelter?

I must apologize if I miss something here: I’ve begun a policy of selective “listening” on this site. You may recall that this is a method parents use on particularly talkative children who have nothing to say. I personally am divided on this issue as regards to the Baptists involved: On one hand they have travelled far in order to help needy children (as far as I know at the moment); on the otherr hand , they impetuously jumped in and asserted themselves in a sovereign nations dealings (although, I heard that they claimed to have followed the rules they were given). But the toon portrays some anglo-type “shopping” for children. Pardon my language: But what the hell has that to do with anything?
