Gays in Uganda have a choice to make, the closet or the casket. Some CHOICE! Wonder if Brittney Griner will speak up about this Human Rights Violation. She should. If not, she’s letting down the LGBTQ community at home as well as abroad. Brittney put your newly found FREEDOM where your mouth is and speak up! For they need it!

It’s a two-part answer in my opinion as a gay man who used to take all the unjustified hate to heart, living in emotional and psychological pain:- “fear of the unknown” the majority of people don’t have, or won’t have empathy for anything that they don’t really understand.- “religion”. Religious leaders know that people will follow unquestioning if they can get the masses afraid. Politicians grab on to that theist control and do what they can to get followers riled up over something that doesn’t affect them in any way, to rise up against a common “enemy” which distracts from the horrible; unchristian; things they are doing.

Have you ever researched how in times of over population and limited resources God increases those who will not increase the population and further demand on those resources? Different religions different views.

Can anyone tell me why dyerjames944 is throwing so much at Brittney’s feet? She is busy. Besides returning to basketball, she is active with groups focused on bringing other wrongfully detained Americans home. She has been very busy, after her ordeal in Russia.

I’m not sure why he’d think Brittney Griner would be able to do anything to sway Uganda about their devastatingly cruel law, that will be abused. Her being who she is and successful in the States should be more than a roll model for them to question their idiotic law.

In fact, it’s more likely it’s the GOP’s stance in the USA about the LGBTQ community that is giving countries like Uganda to feel justified enacting such horrible and destructive laws. They are just following the GOP’s example, after all, how can America tell Uganda what to do, when GQP Governors and legislators, especially where they’ve gerrymandered into super majorities, are enacting laws that are not too far from Uganda’s aimed at denying LGBTQ people the right to exist openly in the USA. Before this incarnation of the GOP, the USA was leading the world in acceptance of LGBTQ people. It’s just amazing how much damage the Orange Traitor and his sycophants have done in such a short time.

If we want to see the world move away from violence towards the LGBTQ community, the USA needs to ensure their equal right to exist in peace and safety in all of the USA. If Americans can find the courage to do that, the world may just follow, and both would become a better place for it.
