Now that’s an imagination! Reminds me a bit of Calvin and Hobbes…really creatively drawn and clever!

Spud missed Sasquatch challenging him to a game of full contact Monopoly, and Gary offering him a mayo and anchovy sandwich and causing the bridge to collapse because of the weight.

Spud, you have to admit, someone taking the time and effort to rig one plank of the foot bridge with a spring strong enough to catapult a kid of your size and shape is highly unrealistic.

I want the background panel (of Spud’s troubling visions) expanded to mural size.

My top three (funniest): the anvil, the spring loaded plank, and the alien tractor beam.

Just think, if it wasn’t for comics many kids today would have no idea what an anvil is.

I want to see what’s hidden behind the three panels.

The anvil is a nice touch.

So – he is still alive by the time he gets to the leaping, hungry shark? Wow!

That’s life. All that you fear can happen anywhere, except maybe the flying shark or tsunami. Though that did happen in the movie Sharknado……

Well, we can at least rule out some of these fears of the footbridge Spud has as either highly unlikely or just flat-out impossible. For example, that footbridge clearly isn’t wide enough for a car to go over, so the odds of him getting run over by one while crossing it are basically nil.

But then I supposed fears aren’t supposed to be reasonable, and Spud’s an especially unreasonable sort of kid in these affairs.

Henry forgot the fearful prospect of hungry, Africanized termites.

These are not 20 separate, possible fears, he thinks that each and every one will occur as he crosses the footbridge.

they are all the curses Amelia has engineered for Spud as he crosses over the footbridge to crab pond.

We always say that Wallace has the imagination but spud here…..I see an Anvil, Aliens, Sharks, Dinosaurs, The grim-reaper, squids, and asteroids!

I admire all the labor in drawing all those vignettes. Thanks Will Henry!

Dude’s gotta stop eating jalapeño and anchovy pizza at night.

Poor Spud. At his age I’d of had only 4 or 5 scenarios.

I was hoping to see a troll under one of them.

Spud has too much “danger imagination.”

Such an amazing imagination.

Keep it a secret among we fans, but I peeked into the future and Spud grows up to be a motorcycle daredevil, known the world round.

If I could like this more than once, I would but instead I’ll award it 100 BCinNC points.

I used to walk over a footbridge to my grandmother’s house when I was their age. It’s over a deep gully, and it swings and bounces when you walk on it.

There’s enough material for a spinoff book, Mr. Henry: Spud’s Gothic Adventures.
