Here’s the splash page (hee hee!) from the latest issue of “The Spark-Spangled Adventures of Captain Sparkler, Airwalker”. On sale now wherever fine sequential panel art is sold….
Eagles do that! I have actually seen one golden eagle roll inverted under another one and tap their talons together. He continued in the roll and came right side up on the other side. Just showing off.
Anyone else seen Gary Beacon’s ice skating version of Leonard Cohen’s “I’m Your Man"? He uses Wallace’s exact arms-out-akimbo(?) stance. Such a perfect one for his brave/curious/sweet personality. It really expresses who he is.
I remember Wallace’s outfit. He wore the same thing (cape, helmet, sparklers) in another strip where he was going to go pogo stick over a farmers dung pile.

Is that the Creature from the Black Lagoon?
Jesy Bertz Premium Member 6 months ago
Do all that in mid-air? That is going to require some serious hang time, Wallace!

The bald eagle part is essential, and had to be carefully planned

Yes Spud, you definitely have the toughest task in this plan. Good Luck.

It’s unfair, the middle judge only giving him a “9” because he’s a bit crabby..

The flying saucer zipping by and The Creature are my favorites. The glow effects on the sparklers is excellent!

Nuevo Tech Steam Punk? Still, physics usually wins over wishful thinking. But where is the fun in that?

Funny how Wallace never thinks about the six months in traction after his landing…

Considering that I doubt Wallace is pulling this off on his first try, yeah I suspect you will be, Spud.

No matter what happens, it will still be memorable…..

Just the plan is impressive enough for me!

What’s that piratey-lookin’ guy (far left) doing? Can’t figure him out! PS: Love Seagull here! Doesn’t want to be left out of the action!
swenbu Premium Member 6 months ago
Also like the knee pads on Wallace….. as if they’ll protect him on the landing!

Barnacles on the pier posts!
Did Wallace plan for someone to take a picture?

The bike really needs to either explode in midair or deploy a parachute and streamers.

Very nice form (in your dream), Wallace. Straight arms, pointed toes close together.

I love how these characters talk like actual kids. Like, in Calvin and Hobbes, they have a more grown-up vocabulary, but here, they make up their own.
