Mom: “You bet your sweet bippy, Sterling! I am woman!”
The leaping whale sets the moment off nicely. And something hopefully dead is proclaiming Will from the bait barrel.
Panel 2 might be my favorite expression from these strips yet.
I love Wallace the Brave and have been following it for at least 2 years! I’m glad to know that wonderful daily strips like this are still being made.
If he knows what’s good for him, Dad better order a pizza and fix Mom a Martini the minute they get back. Oh and a nice bubble bath.
Torn shirt and all!
now, if only you didn’t just bring the part from my OLD boat…
Will it fall in the sea due to Sterling’s action or is it even the right part.
Don’t click on those bait barrels!
15 minutes of light left. Stop wasting time.
Future generations should immortalise this moment in oils.
They won’t, but they should.
Here she comes to save the day! Supermom to the rescue!
Even Sterling is impressed. And Seagull expresses it best of all.
“roar” – heh-heh. heh
This is one of the best ever!
That’s a homage to Eugène Delacroix’s Liberty leading the people (a famous 1830 painting, see >
This has been a terrific arc!
Viva le fuel filter ! (giggle)
If this has been mentioned here earlier, please pardon the repetition, but congrats to Will Henry for “Wallace the Brave” being named Newspaper Comice Strip of the year for 2023 by the National Cartoonists Society:l.
Hat tip to Mike Peterson at Comic Strip of the Day for the news.
(I tired to leave links to both posts, GoComics doesn’t seem to let me do that anymore. You can find the main announcement at the National Cartoonists website and the CSOTD blog for September 14 at the Daily Cartoonist website.)
Reminiscent of Scarlet O’Hara’s famous cry of, “l’ll never starve again”….
I love the powerful spirit of this character. She makes sunshine out of rain!
please don’t drop it
❤️ Yay MOM!
Today’s stunning climax brought to you by –
What a beautiful sky
The one part of the day that went right for her.
I’d say she earned it.
That should be every day!
I like the humpback whale in the last panel.
As WCraft said: what a wonderful way to start the day! Thanks, Henry.
Oh thank god.
This storyline is 10s across the board — action, humor, artwork. 10s 10s 10s bravo!
The perfect end to a perfect day.
Even the lobsters know his name, Will Henry
…and then she drops it overboard?
Seagull’s in love!
What happened to her right hand?
“Wait honey, that’s the wrong filter.”
Incredibly well drawn!
She’s so majestic!
Mom saves the day!!!
YaKnow, you can actually run an engine without a fuel filter. For a while. Long enough to get back I imagine.
Mundane details—how will they return the boat? Tow it (assuming the narhwal’s motor works)?
I took the time to show my wife and daughter this whole story line…
The whale breaching captures the power of the moment!
I was away for the weekend, just saw the magnificent epic conclusion to Mom’s Hero Day! Roar!
