Oh my gosh, Seagull in the second panel. His knees bent with his intensity, mirroring their horrified expressions….He’s so so CUTE.

If it’s a gem-cut emerald, it’s probably from a piece of jewelry, in which case it may have an engraved serial number that can be tracked to a buyer. Parents would want to get the gem back to its owner. There’s a very slim chance the owner will offer a token reward for its return. But, there’s a greater chance it was lost by a tourist, and therefore is fair game. No parents!

The gem-cut emerald probably fell from someone’s ring long ago

Rose continues to not be on the same wavelength as the rest of her friends, as per the norm. :P

I love little Lawful Good Rose. Speaking of alignments. Wallace is obviously Chaotic Good, Amelia is Neutral Evil, Rose is Lawful Good. But what is SPUD??? I’m going with Neutral Good right now, but might be convinced of Neutral Neutral.

It’s a gem from the eye of the idol that protects the island. The gang must go on a journey filled with danger to restore peace to their land.

Mom would ruin everything by doing something practical like putting it in a safety deposit box or setting up a savings account with the money for, UGH, university education! A boy in my school gave me an engagement ring, my mom told me I had to give it back-case in point! LOL

It’s pirate treasure and therefore Wallace gets to keep it.

Technically, you take it to the cops and let them look for the owner. If they don’t find one, you get to keep it.

Wallace said no parents YET. Mom is cool, maybe he just wants some time to savor this before Mom gets involved.
