    Almost every Wizard strip [and others] from those years looks like a prediction for now. Amazing that a comic can show us how little progress we have made in a half century or more.

    Bland diet to soothe ulcers. Remember those? Since they found out ulcers aren’t caused by stress, they stopped being a status symbol for go-getter executive-types.

    If you watch old reruns of Johnny Carson or the reruns of ‘Barney Miller’ from the 1970s, you’ll find that Carson’s monologues about the Nation and politics, and Miller’s stories about society are not a prediction of the future, but show we are repeating past history. The similarities between then and now are eye-opening.
