Fact: Nowhere in this popular nursery rhyme is it mentioned that Humpty Dumpty was an egg!

If the egg has any chance of hatching, it was the rooster.

Depends on the type of egg. Dinosaur eggs came before chickens.

As far as the chicken, I think they are referring to Rodney.

If memory serves me correctly, there was a much earlier Wiz strip, with a chicken and Humpty-Dumpty-as-an-egg on the wall. The answer to the question was it depends on which direction you’re walking.

I think that we are about to find the answer to that question.

That is an eternal question, however in this case I think the egg beat the chicken by a nose, which is ironic considering the size of the beak on that chicken.
