Oh, Henry? I thought he was calling for a candy bar.
I thought it was going to have something to do with the falling leaves bowing to the king.
We have to. To get down to your level……
Aand you need to replant the tree
One of my comics is about two trees: One says “Spring is here!” The other answers “What a re-leaf”.
Wish our trees were more like the whomping willow in Harry Potter. Soon as the fall colors have faded, shake all leaves off. Only one time raking and cleaning it up and not like it usually is, months of raking, mostly until spring and clogged gutters.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I preferred the tree when it still had brown leaves on it.
There should be a Roomba for that!
(Just a “little bit” of) overkill. (unless not having that tree not produce leaves again next year was part of the goal).
Gives the finger to the Fink — not in a million years will any of us ever bow to thy runt-ness, Fink.
The end of this strip made me sad, because the last panel reminded me of the banyan tree in Lahaina. I’m so glad it’s showing signs of life.
There’s clearly an environmental problem with The Wizard of Id: where does Henry get the energy to generate all those flames?
If he’s being fed on fossil fuels, we should be told, and the whole strip should be making plans to move towards net zero.
Bow to you, Fink…you and what army is going to make me (I’ve seen your army in action)?
Fortunately the tree was fire proof so it no burn when it leaves is does.
Quick fix…..hate to see the boy who climbs that tree!!!
I find my mulching lawn tractor works best and far lower CO2 emissions.
That’s one way to get rid of autumn leaves.
Nature is lit.
Here comes my favourite sound effect!!! FOOM!!! Thanks Henry!!
Of course, the tree won’t grow any leaves next year.
Burning leaves causes air pollution or so they say. The smell of burning leaves was as much a part of Fall as migrating water foul, shorter days and the first cup of hot cocoa. Another fond childhood memory the children of today will never experience. Quite sad, actually.
I thought the Wiz was calling William Sydney Porter.
OH, Henry? I was looking for a chocolate bar to appear.
not sure that tree will be terribly productive next year
Bow to the king of I’d? I can’t bend that low.
Autumn just seems to dragon.
Where’s Smokey the Bear? That dragon could’ve started a forest fire!
No, the king was talking to you, the reader. Now bow!
The Wiz will now find himself dragon his “arborist” all over town.
And here I’ve been thinking the wiz was smart :-\
And, …. the connection?
Maybe I should try that to get rid of the leaves. Not!
Oh Henry is a kind of candy bar.
where can I get a Henry ?
They should sell those at Home Depot.
Henry comes in handy occasionally.
mess? falling leaves aren’t mess…
