Nowadays many people don’t think they have enough Christmas lights unless their house can be seen from space.

In our house, we are decorated for Fall and Thanksgiving through October and November. Thanksgiving Day is the line in the sand for us. After the parade, my wife says “It’s tradition. I can’t cook Thanksgiving Dinner without Christmas Music.” So our Christmas playlist (consisting of Bing Crosby, The Boston Pops, Trans Siberian Orchestra, and various “old” Christmas albums) is fired up.Interior decorating starts the following day and by Sunday, the interior of the house is usually 70% decorated with the exception of a tree. That will come mid-December.In the week leading up to Thanksgiving, I spend a few hours a day outside getting the exterior lights on the house. Saturday is the day that the giant airblown inflatable turkey (we named him Henry) gets put away and the exterior Christmas lights are turned on.So yeah, it’s “Christmas Season” in our house now.

This is soooooo relatable! Like, the people here are already preparing for Christmas since September. It is kind of a tradition.

They will regret this when it’s time to put it all away in January.

I changed the LED’S on my holiday tree from white blinking to color blinking so my tree is all set for Christmas.

We have 12 boxes of stuff and it all goes up Thanksgiving Sunday and stays ‘till our White Elephant party in early Jan. This year we suffered a disaster and can’t decorate yet. Such is life.
