The high school band director was up on his platform conducting the band at half time at the football game when all of a sudden he was struck by a bolt of lightning. He was rushed to the hospital and he survived. The attending doctor stated that he wasn’t surprised that he survived because he knew he was a poor conductor.
Every once in a while we need to be reminded by a clever turn of a word, how people are loosing grasp of simple English…(as always) thank you for the great strip!
My favorite quote(s) from Nightcourt, just after Bull gets struck by lightning.Doctor: Well there’s nothing more I can do for him.Judge Harry: you mean he’s …Doctor: No, he’s fine. But a jolt of energy like that – it must have felt like French kissing a light socket.Bull: No, that feels very different.

Technically lances are made of wood, with a metal tip, but still funny.

Shockingly good conduct, in fact.

Will this amp up Rodney’s performance? Or will the Energizer Rabbit start chasing him?

Why was Sir Rodney struck? He was the tallest object in the panel

He’s not a classical conductor.

Don’t let him do that again. He might re-volt.

Wow. I have a degree in electronics and it still took me a second to get that one.

Seems more like a resistor than a conductor.

Lightning (electricity) and the word “conduct”, LOL!, that’s reaching for it!

That must have been one hell of a zolt. One rarely sees an Id horse with eyes wide open.

An enlightening cartoon.

He’s lucky it was not a “dielectric” medal, which is only awarded posthumously. :)

Rodney should lead the orchestra now.

I think it would be funnier as “A good conductor metal”.

I’ve never received a Good Conduct Medal and I’m an electrician.
