You left out Labradors. Our late, lamented Black Lab was so sweet. She taught me to not be afraid of dogs. I now pet pit bulls.

My neighbour kept Goldens. Warning sign on her gate read: Beware: My dog can lick anybody!

Great choice. Even better is the Goldendoodle.

Good dog. Of course, there are many other good breeds, but Goldies are good dogs.

Of course, like all things, watch out for puppy mill or bad breeders in general.

If you are right handed, you might want to pet pit bulls with your left.

I think pit bulls get the bad rap because for so long they were trained for the inhumane dog fights. That is on the owners and not the dog’s doing. Meanwhile, the breed I have seen that seems to have a naturally nasty disposition are Chows. Almost all of them I have run into tend to be snappy and unpleasant. Maybe I just haven’t met the right ones yet.

So many dog breeds to suit one’s taste, I do not own a dog but I dog sit my sisters Jack Russell and my SIL’s dogs – I love her husky most. Two dogs with distinct personalities, the Jack Russell is a small dog with a big dog persona and the husky… well I just love a dog that talks back and shows his displeasure lol

Goldens are my absolute favorite breed. Labs are great, too. I did the animal photography for our local shelter’s website for a good number of years, taking pix of many pit bulls, and all were very sweet doggies.

This could apply to all dogs.

Being evil all the time probably would get boring. You need some yellow Minions to live things up.
