When I was able to get press credentials to be a drag racing photographer (a lifelong ambition) I would ask the veterans for any tips they cared to share. I mostly got told to stuff it, and figure it out like they did. They apparently forgot me when a race was at a local track, and I had information they didn’t. They asked how I was doing, but I showed some class and shared my exposure settings.
