The Pharaoh will be wrapped up shortly after the construction project is.
And look at all the jobs he created for this project. Construction really pays well…
Actually it did benefit the community, because it provided work for farmers during the annual inundation, ensuring that they at least had plenty of food and a dry place to sleep until the water receded.
