It looks better in the headline: “Paramedics on the Scene Immediately for Bike-Vehicle Crash”.

What’s truly insane is the putting of bike lanes on Major Highways. US-27 has a nickname of blood highway in Florida. So what do they do? They paint bike lanes on it. Spent the winters here and I have seen maybe 5 bikers using the lanes all winter, every year. Most bikers have the intelligence to know it’s a death trap.

Try looking both ways.

Oh the irony

They say.. there is a silver lining in every cloud.

They’re runnin’ on EMT.

For one thing, you know they are insured.

While cycling, I got hit by a car coming out of a side street (through the stop sign), and thrown into the middle of the street. My first thought was to try and get up and get out of the middle of the street.

First thing I saw was a police officer. Initially, I thought I’d been knocked unconscious for a while. Then I realized it was the police officer’s car that had hit me.

(Side note: the officers who came to investigate assumed it was my fault without bothering to get the story, and had to be convinced by their fellow officer that it was his fault.)
