This reminds me of Mr. Spock and Dr. Spock. I’m sure Roddenberry was well aware of Dr. Benjamin Spock when he came up with the Vulcan named Spock. Imagine if the Vulcan would’ve served as the chief medical officer and McCoy would’ve been the science officer and first officer. Then it would’ve been Mr. McCoy and Dr. Spock on Star Trek.

Why does he want you to see another doctor? Suspicion is natural considering a cartoon doesn’t want to treat another cartoon.
